After you read the following, it should help you have more ideas about truth and I believe they will help you with many things.
Because anything can be the truth about something, for example, that a spider has 8 legs is the truth about a spider, the truth here will be focused on the truth about ending sufferings, which can be anything too. The truth that a spider has 8 legs can be the truth about ending a suffering too because this truth can save a child's bottom from being spanked, right? (I mean the child can give the right answer to the child's teacher when the child is asked.) Also there are many truths that you don't need to know because they don't help you end suffering and sometimes even cause you having more suffering. Search for the truth about ending suffering. (We all want to be happy, right?) Then the problem is many times (not all the time) you don't know what truth you need to end your suffering. You need good guidelines and you can find them in the Buddha's teaching. Try it, test it.

A nature of truth that I understand is there are many degrees/levels about truth. What I mean is like the password to log in to your computer at your work. Your password may be able to open only some groups of files and/or be able to change only some data in some files. Your password of your coworker may be able to open and change data in another group of files. The password of your boss can open more files and change more data than you can. And the password of the president of the company or administrator may be able to open every files and can change every data in all files. The same way as truth.
The truth about X, for example, may help you solve some problems of your life in some situations. The truth about Y may help you solve some other problems of your life in some other situations. The higher truth may help you solve all of those problems in all of those situations and solve others more.

Next, I have a story from the Buddha that I want to share with you.

THE BLIND MEN AND THE ELEPHANT

Seven blind men were presented with an elephant. Each man felt a different part of the elephant's body: One felt the head, another the trunk, and the others felt an ear, a tusk, a foot, the back, and the tail. When asked if they now knew what an elephant was, the one at the head said, 'It is just like a pot.' The one at the ear disagreed, 'No, it is like a basket.' The man at the tusk said, 'A plowshare'; the one at the trunk said, 'A plow.' The man who knew only the foot said, 'A pillar'; the man on the back, 'A barrel'; and the man at the tail, 'A broom.'
"Those who disagree about the nature of life and death are like these blind men: each knowing a part of the Truth, but not the whole."
From a book named Buddha by Demi. Or you can read the story in more detail from Thanissaro Bhikkhu version and John D. Ireland verison.

So when you see something, try to see from different angles / from different perspectives, try to be an open-minded person in order to see the WHOLE truth, not only some parts/aspects of the truth that may come from ONLY your own interpretation or even from your own seeing or touching, which then may cause problems to yourself or others.

When there is an alluring thing present, including in media, try to see the whole truth of it. For example, I saw ads about Credit Card. One brand has slogan "There are some things money can't buy for everything else there's MasterCard." I think it's a very good slogan. That slogan is a truth too. But it's not the whole truth. For all other ads about credit card, they show only good sides of credit card. They are hiding bad sides of credit card. I mean there are so many people are in debt right now, causing depression in many people, leading to problems in their families then to our societies then to our country.

If anyone know those management people of those big credit card companies, try to explain to them it's not good to lure people, especially in everywhere (by using media tool) like going into your private place (like your bedroom) by using TV to reach you so they can lure you, using billboard beside the road so they can lure you while you're driving, using ads in radio so they can lure you when you listen music. You can't escape! If those management people have responsibility enough, not too greedy, not do just because others do so, they should show the bad sides of credit cards too so a consumer has all necessary information to decide if he/she should have it and if he/she decides to have it, he/she has information about how to use it as benefit, not making him/her full of debt, causing his/her depression, making some people become thieves or even murderers because thieves are afraid of being caught so they have to kill people after stealing money, leading to problems in his/her families then to our societies then to our country.

If those big companies can do as I said, I'm 100% sure that there won't be as many people in debt as it is now and there will less thieves less murderers involving money as a motive. Those companies still can do business but some problems are that those management people may not have high salary any more because there will be less customers and those management people may lay off a lot of their employees.
Regarding their customers, most of the customers will be customers who are appropriate to have and use (a) credit card(s). Because now consumers make decision based on all necessary information, not some parts.
I think it's not right to admire or give reward to those management people for their success in manage those companies, making a lot of money; but in another side causing a lot of people being in debt and even leading to murder.
And this is just an example of a disastrous result of not seeing the whole truth or hide some truths of just one thing.

When you have a clearer mind, which you can get from practicing meditation, it will be a great help to you to see and realize more of the truth of things; so you won't be deluded by some truths/aspects of those things.
